Priyanka Chopra is under fire for allegedly insulting Kate Middleton on her Amazon series “The Castle.”
The Indian actress has faced backlash after she was accused of assaulting Kate at the behest of her friend Meghan Markle.
Supporters of the Princess of Wales have found an old video of Chopra talking affectionately about Kate’s husband, Prince William.
In the video, Chopra said she wanted to date Prince William. “I want to date him. I really want to know what it’s like to be a 33-year-old royal,” she said in response to questions in the video.
Chopra’s interview was apparently recorded seven years ago, as Prince William is now 40.

Social media sites have been flooded with posts targeting the Indian actress after the show’s latest episode aired.
Priyanka, who is married to US singer Nick Jonas, has been accused of targeting the Princess of Wales to please her friend Meghan Markle.
Supporters of the British royal family say the actress “crashly and unnecessarily referenced Catherine in her Amazon flop”.
They said Chopra’s actions confirmed that she and Meghan were hurt by seeing Kate thrive.
In one episode of the show, Priyanka’s character Nadia Sim instructs her partner Mason Kane (Richard Madden) to meet crime boss Balduino Basto (Sam Monroe) ) to broker a deal with the military.
It was during this meeting that the character said, “Chief of the Armed Forces? You might as well ask me how I got between the Duchess of Cambridge’s legs!”
