Indian social worker based in Dubai obtains UAE Golden Visa for humanitarian work-News

An Indian social worker and philanthropist based in Dubai received the 10-year golden visa that the UAE dreams of for humanitarian work.

Philanthropist and founder of Pehal Charitable Trust (PCT) Humanity Joginder Singh Salaria stamped his passport with a humanitarian visa on Monday (September 20). Salaria is also the head of the heavy equipment transportation business in Dubai. He founded this company in 2004 and officially started his charity in 2012.

A happy Salaria told Khaliji Times Everything he currently has is attributed to the leadership of the UAE, especially his role model-His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. “I am also very grateful to the Dubai Police. They played an important role in supporting my humanitarian efforts,” he pointed out.

“I came to the UAE from Punjab in 1993 with 1,000 rupees (less than 50 dirhams) in my pocket. Given my current position, I can only express my deep gratitude to the leaders of the UAE. This country is real The paradise on earth, such a huge honor for people like me proves that anyone can come here to realize their dreams,” Salaria said.

Before World Humanitarian Day on August 18, Sheikh Mohammed announced on Twitter that charity and humanitarian aid workers are eligible for golden visas.

Salaria opened the first PCT Humanity office in New Delhi in 2012. “The center has a branch in Punjab, and my team and I opened a Dubai office in the International Humanitarian City in 2018,” Salaria said. “The UAE is the most peaceful and safest country in the world. Through diligent and honest work, you can realize all your dreams,” he added.

PCT Humanity is a member of Dubai International Humanitarian City (IHC), which is the largest humanitarian center in the world. This non-profit organization was recognized for its humanitarian services and organized the “Longest Hunger Relief Program” during Ramadan in Abu Dhabi on May 18, 2019, winning the Guinness World Record.

The trust fund has been carrying out a number of awareness-raising programs, flood control camps, and blood donation camps to provide support to orphanages, widows and the elderly, and to meet the educational needs of children in need.

PCT Humanity has organized several camps in Dubai in cooperation with the Dubai Police. It expanded its support for Uganda (East Africa) by distributing books, stationery, school uniforms, footwear and sports equipment.

In 2019, Salaria installed more than 60 hand pumps in poor villages in Pakistan. He has paid for air tickets for released prisoners from seven countries to fly home. Recently, Salaria provided wholehearted support and helped a troubled Pakistani family, a mother and her three children. He assumed all their expenses, released the arrested husband, and sent the whole family back to Pakistan safely.

He said: “I believe we must live in peace and harmony, without any discrimination in the name of the country, religion or caste.” Salaria has two children-a 16-year-old girl and a 20-year-old son-in Dubai Get an education.
