KUALA LUMPUR, 24th May, 2023 (WAM) — Malaysian media have hailed Abu Dhabi Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for an official visit to their country .
Several media outlets confirmed that the visit strengthened relations between the UAE and Malaysia, with the two countries agreeing to start negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
Malaysian media highlighted the longstanding relationship between the two countries, noting that the UAE is Malaysia’s second largest trading partner and main export market.
The Malaysian state news agency (Bernama) highlighted the strong and constructive partnership between the two countries in various fields.
The Star highlights Malaysia’s King Sultan Abdullah Ryayatuddin Mustafa Bila Shah in partnership with Darjah Kaerabat Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Dihormati (Pahang’s most revered royal order) ) to award the Order of Sheikh Khalid; and the Seri Maharaja Mangku Negara (the most revered Order of Defender of the Kingdom), in recognition of His Highness’s role in strengthening the strong ties of friendship between the UAE and Malaysia.
Harian Metro newspaper highlighted that the two countries are negotiating on CEPA to strengthen their ongoing partnership and strategic cooperation.
