The largest martial arts organization in the UAE has opened a new dojo in Abu Dhabi to support character development in children.

Warrior Academy’s first location is in Al Quoz, Dubai, and has launched a world-class facility in the capital’s Al Wahda Mall.

Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who attended the opening ceremony, noted that Abu Dhabi has always embraced the development of education and sports.

“Nurturing a child’s development to become the well-rounded citizen of the future is important, and the Warrior Academy has created a world-class platform through the martial arts designed to inspire thousands of kids around the world to achieve their goals. It is an honor to be here to celebrate Abu The opening of the only professional character development center in Dhabi,” he said.

The Academy was originally established in the UK in 2011. In Dubai, the academy trains nearly 1,000 children a week using a unique “warrior approach” that focuses on confidence, behavior and focus. Training is delivered by a world-class team of professionals including national, European and world champions, as well as personal trainers.

Academy founder Sebastian Bates noted that the launch of the Abu Dhabi facility was at the request of parents.

“We’ve been approached by so many parents encouraging us to open a branch in Abu Dhabi, so it was a natural step for us to be able to bring the organization to the capital,” said Bates, who is also an author, former professional fighter, and Ultimate Athlete and philanthropist.

According to the academy, more than 80 percent of children reported increased confidence within a year of joining the institution.

“We are incredibly proud of the impact Warrior Academy has had on children’s lives. It is not just a martial arts academy. Through our small class sizes and teaching methods, we are able to rapidly develop children’s self-confidence, character, and focus to develop black Bring a mindset and go on to live a happy and compelling life as an adult,” Bates famously said.

At the academy, the coaches practice taekwondo, which has a major impact on the character development of children, helping them build self-confidence, self-discipline and focus.

Bates is also passionate about ending the cycle of bullying, following her own experiences as a child and helping young people through the academy.

“Bullying is not a single incident, it is a transformation. It is a transformation and with the right guidance it has the potential to grow enormously. It is in this way that I hope Warrior Academy will continue to help children and we are very pleased Students are welcome to our ashram in Abu Dhabi,” added Bates.

Plans are underway to expand operations to nine additional GCC cities over the next three years.
