Asian Paints Berger Introduces Innovative Decorative Wall Products

[ad_1]

Asian Paints Berger, a subsidiary of Asian Paints Limited, has launched its innovative range of decorative wall coverings inspired by arabesque patterns and curated specifically for the region to recreate the glorious look and feel of the region’s design heritage.

The new “Royale Play Artistica” was unveiled at the recent Index 2023 expo in Dubai, where Asian Paints Berger showcased its diverse range of decorative paint products in its dedicated pavilion.

Royale Play Artistic offers three collections — Rust, Clay and Concrete — each with sub-products, senior officials said at the release.

For example, Royale Play Artistica Rust and Stardust and Copper Breeze are odes to the region, inspired by themes that span time.

The decorative paint, they say, costs less than real metal and produces a real oxidation effect, like that of an iron surface exposed to the natural corrosion of atmospheric elements.

Royale Play Artistica Clay Mandala and Clay Arabesque are formulated with special properties of slaked lime, pure clay, selected marble and natural sand to help achieve the arabesque feel.

It ensures a top finish with a wrinkled effect. Unique finishes are also available in Royale Play Artistica Distressed Concrete, Metallica Concrete and Exposed Concrete, they added.

Unveiling the innovative product, Assistant Vice President (Middle East and Africa) Joseph Eapen said: “Our new Royale Play Artistica is a tribute to the Arabian world and is deeply inspired by regional motifs. Designed for a new generation in search of Designers and architects who design with a vintage feel and push the boundaries with an innovative approach to design aesthetics, the new collection speaks a language of its own.”

“The range is also environmentally friendly and its launch coincides with the UAE’s Year of Sustainability, when the country will also host COP28. In addition, the product has excellent properties such as high water vapor permeability, improved water resistance , greater durability even in severe weather and anti-fungal properties,” comments Eapen.

“With our strong presence in the region, we see our innovative decorative wall finishes as a game-changer that will bring exceptional value to customers looking for elegant arabesque finishes,”

Asian Paints Berger recently outlined its ambitious growth plans in the region, investing AED 244 million (US$ 66.4 million) in a white cement manufacturing plant in Fujairah.

With operations in 15 countries and serving consumers in more than 60 countries, Asian Paints is the seventh largest paint company in the world and the third largest in Asia.

With a turnover of US$4.2 billion in 2023, the company is rapidly expanding in the region by forging strong partnerships through such industry events.

At the event, Asian Paints Berger also moderated a panel discussion entitled “Sustainable Concrete: Innovations and Best Practices”. The purpose of the event is to shed light on the latest developments and effective methods for promoting environmentally friendly concrete construction.

Moderated by Dennis Jacob of Asian Paints Berger, the panel comprised industry experts: John Sajeev, Principal, QC-Alec; Laith Haboubi, Vice President, Victor Corrosion Group; Dr. Rami Hawileh, Professor of Civil Engineering, American University of Sharjah; Naheed Younis, an experienced civil engineer and experienced professional in the construction chemical industry at Asian Paints Berger.

Concrete is the second most widely used building material in the world, after water. Since sustainability involves meeting the needs of the present while safeguarding the ability of future generations to meet their own, sustainable concrete construction practices play a key role in addressing global environmental concerns.

A key ingredient in concrete production is cement, which has a significant impact on the environment.

Producing one ton of cement produces nearly one ton of greenhouse gases (GHG), accounting for about 6-8% of the total global carbon footprint.

The carbon footprint of concrete can be reduced through the adoption of secondary cementitious materials (SCM) such as fly ash, slag cement and silica fume, as well as the use of high-strength concrete, alternative fuels and grinding aids throughout the cement manufacturing process.

Panelists discussed the challenges of implementing concrete sustainable practices in the UAE and explored potential solutions. They also shared successful case studies from the country, showcasing specific projects that have effectively reduced their carbon footprint and provided factual evidence.

Discussions at Index also focused on the emergence of innovative solutions and products within the sustainable concrete industry, as well as significant advances that contribute to eco-friendly concrete practices, the company said in an ist statement.

It added that by addressing these key issues, the panelists aimed to strengthen the foundations of a greener and more environmentally conscious construction industry.-TradeArabia News Service
