That location
Al Hamra Beach is close to Al Marjan Island. It feels like a very secluded area, but it is conveniently located only a short five-minute drive from shops and amenities. Driving by from Dubai, the arrival experience begins with a five-minute boat ride to the Welcome Wharf. Technically speaking, the hotel is not on the island, but this clever strategy does make people feel that way.
Look and feel
The villas are arranged along winding paths, surrounded by tall white walls and lush green plants, creating a completely private environment. The beach is vast and peaceful, and guests can enjoy various water sports, including kayaking. The resort is very long, so if your room is at the far end, you need to call a car to the restaurant or lobby.
Room
The villa is inspired by Bedouin tents-if the Bedouin has impeccable taste and prefers chic monochrome furniture. We live in the Al Shamal Ocean View Villa, which has a big four poster bed with pure white curtains facing the black and white leather storage unit, and the flat-screen TV rises from there. There is a large bay window with a spacious reading corner, and a tray was prepared on arrival for us to DIY our own cocktails. Every inch of space exudes a luxurious atmosphere, and all details have been carefully considered to make guests feel at home.

Al Hamra Beach is your real resort away from the world, so you can spend most of your time in the villa. Ours has a private swimming pool, outdoor showers and bathtubs, as well as a long road to the beach, and finally a sundeck to watch the sunset. The swimming pool is completely cooled to a depth of 1.3 meters, so you can properly immerse in the water and relax, then head to the cabin to sunbathe. Soon after sunrise, Instagrammable floating breakfast is served on a wicker tray, which is balanced on the water and is equipped with a variety of exotic fruits, eggs, coffee, pancakes, French toast, etc.
Dinning room
The resort has only one restaurant, Shore House, which is an all-day dining restaurant with a nautical theme that serves a variety of international cuisines.
