The Dubai authorities have announced the opening of special clinics for Covid-19 patients whose symptoms persist for 4 weeks after contracting the coronavirus.

These clinics are for patients suffering from this disease and are often referred to as “long-term Covid.”

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) stated that post-Covid-19 clinics will be held at Al Barsha Health Centre on Tuesday and Nad Al Hammar on Thursday.

This service is not suitable for pregnant women and children under six years of age.

Dr. Hanan Al Hammadi, Family Medicine Consultant and Director of Medical Affairs at the DHA Primary Health Care Department, emphasized the importance of clinics.

“The post-Covid-19 clinic helps support patients who still show symptoms weeks or months after the disease has recovered. The purpose of the clinic is to conduct a thorough investigation, complete all necessary tests, and refer patients to specialists if they Special medical interventions in specific fields are required, such as pulmonology, cardiology, mental health or neurology.”
