Pakistan-UAE flights: Covid vaccine certificate certification is “not required at this time”-News

The UAE Embassy in Islamabad clarifies its notice regarding Covid-19 vaccination certificate requirements

The UAE Embassy in Islamabad clarified on Thursday that the Covid-19 vaccination certificate proves that it is not currently a necessary condition to travel to the UAE.

The embassy said in a tweet: “The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Islamabad would like to clarify that the proof of the Covid-19 vaccination certificate provided by the embassy is currently not considered as a requirement to travel to the UAE.”

Currently, only UAE nationals, diplomats and golden visa holders are allowed to enter the UAE from Pakistan.

Earlier, the embassy stated in a notice to the Pakistani authorities that starting next month, PAkistani passengers flying to the UAE will need to bring a Covid-19 certificate certified by the UAE Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan. It stated that the new rules apply not only to ordinary passengers, but also to officials and diplomats.

According to a notice, “before traveling to the UAE, you must bring a Covid-19 vaccine certificate certified by the UAE Embassy issued by the National Database and Registration Agency (Nadra) and the Counselor’s Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Islamabad.” By the UAE Embassy in Islamabad Issuance.

The notice stated that the new regulations will take effect on August 1, 2021.

The embassy requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan to notify all other ministries of new travel requirements, as well as diplomatic/official and ordinary passport holders.

The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai has confirmed that the notice was issued by the UAE Embassy.

According to the UAE’s Civil Aviation Administration, scheduled passenger flights from Pakistan to the UAE will be suspended until further notice.

However, the UAE’s flagship airlines Emirates and Etihad Airways recently announced that flights to Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka have been suspended until July 21.
