Ahmed Al Zarooni, Director of Public Parks and Recreation Facilities Department of Dubai Municipality, said: “The park provides the best immersive animal hunting experience in the world. Not only can visitors face-to-face with a variety of animals, including ungulates, carnivores, and birds. Species, reptiles, primates and small mammals, including several endangered animals, and opportunities to learn more about their nature and habitat. The new season of the park will feature a series of exciting performances, activities, Exhibitions and events are featured, providing visitors with a unique entertainment and educational experience.”
Dubai Safari Park is home to the world’s first drive-through crocodile exhibit, the largest baboon group in the UAE, the largest drive-through lion exhibit, and the country’s only drive-through hippo and tiger exhibit. The walking aviary in the park has birds from all over the world. The 116-hectare park maintains the world’s highest animal welfare and protection standards. It currently has about 3,000 animals, including 78 mammals-10 different carnivores and 17 primates-50 reptiles ; 111 species of birds, amphibians and invertebrates.
Expanded animal community and new interactive performances
In the new season, visitors can see new animals such as squirrel monkeys, mona monkeys, Arabian wolves and northern white-cheeked gibbons. In addition, there are 111 newborns of different animal species in the park. Dubai Safari Park cooperates with local and international projects throughout the year to introduce, incubate and exchange new animals. The park’s animal husbandry plan also adds new animals before the new season begins.
During the winter in Dubai Safari Park, various unique exhibitions will be held, such as interactive performances such as a leopard show and a bird show, showcasing “the magical creatures of the world” and birds of prey. Various areas of the park (such as the Arabian Desert Wildlife Park) have been redeveloped to attract more tourists.
The area dedicated to breeding Arabian wolves has been expanded by 10,000 square meters. The area has many local trees and plants, in addition to unique sand dunes and water bodies, which create a suitable environment for these animals. This area is considered the largest island sheltering Arabian wolves. Dubai Safari Park has two groups of Arabian wolves and aims to establish an animal welfare program in cooperation with various agencies in the area.
Family-friendly destination
The park provides experiences for all family members, including the opportunity to feed animals and take commemorative photos. The Safari Journey Package allows visitors to enter the African Village, Adventure Village, Safari Journey, Asian Village, Arabian Desert Wildlife Park and Children’s Farm, in addition to the use of train services and reserved seats in live performances.
The safari park provides a behind-the-scenes experience for the first time, allowing visitors to get close to animals under the guidance of animal shepherds, learn about their habitats and ways to take care of them. The park also has a jungle photographer package for photographers.
