Abu Dhabi [UAE]June 5 (ANI/WAM): The Federal Tax Agency (FTA) has launched a dedicated ‘Corporate Tax Virtual Seminar’ awareness platform aimed at providing knowledge and support to taxpayers who are subject to corporate tax.
The new features form part of the steps taken by the FTA to ensure the smooth implementation of Federal Decree No. 47 of 2022 (“Corporate Tax Law”), which applies to companies commencing on or after 1 June 2023, and aims to strengthen the UAE as a global Position as a leading business and investment hub and ensure compliance with international tax transparency standards.
On this new platform, FTA offers educational materials, currently including 13 virtual awareness workshops in Arabic and English on ‘Company Tax Registration’. The workshop series will continue in June with two weekly workshops targeting participants and other stakeholders who are subject to corporate tax.
Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General of the FTA, said: “The launch of the new ‘Corporate Tax Virtual Seminar’ is part of the Federal Tax Authority’s commitment to enhance communication with UAE taxpayers and all stakeholders and provide awareness of diversity. By establishing clear Transparent procedures that facilitate channels for self-compliance with tax regulations.”
“The launch of the platform comes as the FTA opens the doors for corporate tax registration through the EmaraTax digital tax services platform, on which private and public joint-stock companies in the UAE will be registered from 15 May 2023,” Al Bustani added. “For corporate tax purposes, taxpayers must register and obtain a tax registration number.”
The Director General of the FTA invites private and public joint stock companies in the UAE, as well as other private companies, to attend an awareness workshop on ‘Company Tax Registration’ available on the FTA website. He emphasized that early registration allows companies and businesses sufficient time to fulfill all their legal obligations.

The workshop explained in detail how to create a new user profile on the EmaraTax platform, how to register for corporate tax, the documents required for registration and the stages of processing the registration application and issuing a tax registration number for corporate tax.
