At the meeting held at the Dubai World Trade Center, Sheikh Hamdan congratulated various government entities for their efforts that led to this global recognition. He urged the team to continue its efforts to improve Dubai’s global sustainability ranking. He also emphasized the importance of supporting innovative ideas that can help Dubai turn challenges into opportunities and create a better future.

The head of the government entity stated that Sheikh Mohamed’s instructions, as well as Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohamed bin Rashid Al Makto, Deputy Ruler of Dubai MU’s continuous follow-up has helped Dubai become a smart, sustainable and resilient city, providing strong infrastructure and world-leading service quality.

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction’s assessment of Dubai focused on 10 elements, 117 indicators, and other requirements and conditions that make the city resilient.

Dubai’s risk and disaster management team is committed to continuously improving preparedness for unforeseen crises and formulating long-term strategies to promote a culture of being ready to manage all kinds of risks.
