Abu Dhabi court orders man to pay Dh200,000 to woman who failed to fulfill business contract

The Abu Dhabi Commercial Court ordered someone to return Dh200,000 to a woman with whom he entered into a contract to start a marketing and development project (the system helps agencies make decisions based on the latest research on synthetic intelligence) ), at a total cost of Dh700,000, but he did not implement the project and did not refund the amount she paid.

The woman filed a lawsuit against the client, demanding that he pay her Dh200,000 and 12% interest from the date of filing the lawsuit until full payment, in addition to paying her fees, expenses and legal fees.

She explained that she had signed an agreement and a partnership contract with the respondent to initiate a marketing and development project, for which she paid AED 200,000, but he did not implement the project and did not return her money.

The court clarified that the case documents proved that the parties agreed under contract to develop a system to assist the agency in its decision-making process based on the latest artificial intelligence research at a cost of Dh700,000, of which the appellant paid a share of Dhs200,000 provided that the The profit is distributed after one and a half years from the date of signing the contract.

The court noted that the appellee attended the meeting but did not provide evidence that he had fulfilled his obligations under the contract, then ruled to terminate the contract and ordered him to pay the appellant Dhs200,000 per annum with 3% interest. .
