BAGHDAD (IraqiNews.com) — Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid received an official invitation Sunday from United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Participation in the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), to coincide with the UAE’s 52nd anniversary celebrationsnd National Day, according to a statement issued by the Iraqi Presidency.
Salim Zabi, UAE Ambassador to Iraq, delivered the invitation to the Iraqi President, who conveyed the UAE President’s greetings to the Iraqi President.
The statement mentioned that Rashid thanked the UAE ambassador for inviting the UAE President to attend COP28 and wished the UAE people prosperity and progress.
The Iraqi President affirmed the strong relations between Iraq and the UAE, emphasizing the need to promote these relations in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and enhances security and stability in the region.
Zabi expressed appreciation for Iraq’s warm reception, expressing the UAE’s support for Iraq’s security and stability and the well-being of the Iraqi people.
The UAE ambassador expressed his appreciation for the role played by Iraqis in contributing to the progress of the United Arab Emirates.
