Abu Dhabi authorities announced on Thursday that the speed limit on Abu Dhabi’s Sweihan Road – from Al Falah Bridge to Abu Dhabi International Airport – has been revised.
The new speed limit will change from 140 km/h to 120 km/h starting Sunday, June 4, according to a joint announcement issued by the Abu Dhabi Police General Command in cooperation with the Integrated Traffic Centre.
Signs have been erected to inform drivers of the change.
Abu Dhabi Police said studies have shown that lowering the speed limit can help improve traffic safety. Motorists are urged to watch their speed and obey all traffic rules and regulations.
