The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) has announced a partnership with Bahrain-based Hope Ventures to expand Hope’s entrepreneurship-themed reality show “Beban” to the United Arab Emirates in the highly anticipated third season.
This follows the show’s planned expansion into the UAE in its second season and its success in promoting investment and strategic opportunities for UAE businesses.
After two seasons, Beban has profiled a total of 62 businesses of various sizes and led to successful joint private and public sector investments of over $6 million in GCC start-ups.
Beban centers on entrepreneurs and business owners as they pitch their ventures before regional investor panels for equity investment and business opportunities.
The exhibition’s expansion is in line with KFED’s mission to promote the UAE’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and support SMEs by providing financing and service options to create opportunities, as Beban will help UAE businesses gain easier access to diverse investors and strategic partnerships Partners, these investors and strategic partners will accelerate their business growth into regional and international markets.
In addition, Beban entrepreneurs will benefit from an intensive training bootcamp as part of their Beban journey, where they will develop their business in everything from expansion planning, financial modeling and pitching in front of regional investor panels on TV.
