South Australian coaches can thrive in Saudi Arabia

[ad_1]

South African coaches can thrive and make a name for themselves in Saudi Arabia, says newly appointed Al Wahda (UAE) coach Pietso Mosiman.

Mosiman, who recently joined the UAE Pro League side this week, made an unprecedented exit from Al-Ahlishat after his contract was terminated following a dispute with the club’s top brass.

Referring to some of the lessons he has learned during his brief tenure with Ahli, Mosiman said he believes the South African coach has what it takes to succeed in Saudi Arabia.

“One of the lessons I’ve learned in the Middle East is that South Africans can get the job done in Saudi and the proof is in the pudding,” Mosiman said after launching the Piso Mosiman Soccer School (PMSS) at the weekend.

“Always push boundaries, never be afraid of the unknown, never be afraid to jump. Some people are afraid of new challenges and resort to their comfort zone.

“Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel and many other top European managers will always move, but there will always be people who don’t want to because there It’s cold, back to warmer weather.

“It’s always about confidence because where we’re going, there’s a lot of turmoil, they give you a one-year contract and you can get fired, so it’s really all about confidence if you want to be successful,” he said .

By bringing Al Ahli back to the Saudi professional league and winning the youth league title, waking up the sleeping giant in Al Ahly, Mosiman will face a similar task in the UAE, as Wahda last won the league title in more than ten years ago.
