ABU DHABI, 23rd June, 2023 (WAM) — The sixth meeting of the Joint Council of the UAE and the Republic of Belarus was held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by UAE Minister of State Ahmed Sayeh and Minister of State for Military Industry of the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Pantos.
The meetings, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi, were attended by Ibrahim Mushalah, UAE Ambassador to Belarus; Humaid Mohamed Ben Salem, Secretary General, Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry; Dr. Farah Al Zarooni, Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, Standards and the Assistant Undersecretary for Regulations; and a number of senior officials from both parties.
The talks focused on economic cooperation, especially the development of trade and investment, banking cooperation, education, culture, cyber security, agriculture and food.
The two sides also discussed the relations between the UAE and Belarus and reaffirmed their mutual desire to develop a constructive partnership for the common interests of the two countries and their peoples.
Sayeg pointed out that the joint committee meeting is of great significance in exploring new opportunities to promote economic growth and prosperity, expand constructive partnerships, and enhance cooperation between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the minutes of the joint committee meeting were signed, and both sides expressed their appreciation for the efforts to convene the committee and emphasized the importance of advancing the dialogue between the relevant authorities and the public and private sectors.
