Dubai’s Road and Traffic Authority (RTA) has built more than 15 projects, costing more than 15 billion dirhams, to serve the 2020 World Expo.
The completed project portfolio includes the Dubai Metro’s 2020 route, which is 15 kilometers long, connects seven stations, purchases 50 trains with spacious and stylish interiors, and builds roads spanning 138 lane kilometers and 9 overpasses. The authorities have deployed 200 top-specification buses, and designated 18 stops and stops for buses in hot spots in Dubai and other major cities in the UAE. A total of 15,000 taxis and limousines will be used for this event.
RTA has also arranged 30,000 parking spaces in the Expo site and will use smart technology, applications and artificial intelligence to ease the flow of Expo visitors on subways, buses and taxis.
Al Tayer stated that the road infrastructure and public transportation network will provide fast-moving services for Expo visitors from Dubai and other emirates of the UAE.

Enterprise Command and Control Center
RTA’s preparations for large-scale exhibitions also include the construction of a corporate command and control center. “It is one of the largest and most advanced control centers in the world.
