Tailors and fabric sellers say their jobs are poor due to economic challenges and job losses.

Burhanullah has been working as a tailor for 35 years and is the only breadwinner in his family. He attributed the drop in sales to the economic challenges of the country’s citizens.

“Compared to last year, the work has changed. Mostly Afghan clothes are used… People are not doing well financially,” Burhan said.

“In the past, we had a lot of work and many clients, but now most of our clients are abroad,” says tailor Jamaluddin.

Meanwhile, in another corner of Kabul, some fabric sellers and clothiers are also concerned about poor conditions.

“Our job is not good because people are not interested in shopping now,” said Abdul Fattah, a clothing seller.

According to TOLO News, Abdul Fahim, a fabric seller, said: “Before, people had jobs, they had jobs, they had money, they could come and shop with their families, but now, unlike the previous government, Than, our job is not good.”

Every year with the arrival of Eid al-Adha, many people in the country rush to buy clothes, but this year, due to poverty and challenges in the country, they are unable to celebrate Eid in this way. (Arnie)
