Details have been released about DraftKings Sports & Social planned for the former George Jones Museum in the city centre, with the multi-component entertainment concept due to open in phases starting this year.

According to a press release, Baltimore-based The Cordish Companies plans to conduct a Nashville Live! offer — in addition to, and as postal Reported in January, anchor concepts DraftKings Sports & Social and PBR Cowboy Bar — AVA Rooftop Bar, a rooftop venue, The Gallery, a 10,000-square-foot private event space that seats up to 450 people, and an underground speakeasy-style bar.
The cost of getting businesses to occupy the building’s five floors and operate them was not disclosed in the press release.The brick building is located in the district 128 North Second Avenue Upon opening, it will offer 50,000 square feet of space to showcase various concepts.
“It is exciting for The Cordish Companies to announce this major entertainment district and revitalization project in the heart of historic Second Avenue in downtown Nashville,” said company principal Reed Cordish in a press release. “With five levels of newly-launched brands, including DraftKings and PBR, two of the most exciting names in sports and entertainment, we’re creating a premier dining, entertainment, music and sports experience downtown.”
Eligible customers will be able to use DraftKings’ mobile platform to place bets through the DraftKings Sportsbook app, the release states. Plus, they can play everyday fantasy sports including football, basketball, baseball, golf, MMA, soccer, and tennis right from their mobile devices.
The PBR Stampede Bar will be the flagship location for PBR and the Nashville Stampede, one of eight teams in the new Bull Riding League. The release notes that 14 locations are planned in other markets.
Kodish Live Streaming! Concepts attracts approximately 55 million annual visitors to the company’s diverse portfolio of restaurants, entertainment venues, hotels, casino resorts and live music venues across the country.
Atlanta-based The Ardent Companies and local real estate investor Jeffrey Welk bought the building for $28.5 million in July 2022, and it changed hands just seven months later for $21 million.
Boston-based DraftKings, founded in 2012, bills itself as a fantasy sports competition and sportsbook. DraftKings Sports & Social, the company’s partnership with The Cordish Companies, is located in Troy, Michigan, near Detroit.

The 5,500-square-foot store offers billiards, arcade basketball, a Golden Tee golf simulator and darts. It also offers outdoor seating.
Wedge Pizza and Pub sits alongside Scout’s Barbershop and the Wedge Building’s loading dock.
Nashvilleguru.com The pizzeria’s menu reportedly includes a Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza with hot sauce, dill pickles and ranch dressing. All pizzas can be prepared with a cauliflower crust for an additional fee.
Memphis Italian restaurant converted into former presenter’s space
Owners of Villa Castrioti in Memphis will open their last space to house Demos’ restaurant in downtown Nashville in March 2024, nashville business journal Report.
NBJ The first Villa Castrioti restaurant will reportedly open in Memphis in 1989, with a sister restaurant opening in Lakeland, a suburb of Bluff, in late 2022. The menu offers standard Italian fare, with entrees starting at $15.
Nashville’s Solomon Builders is overseeing construction with permits worth $42,500, and CS Studio Architecture (in the Memphis suburb of Germantown) is in charge of the design, NBJ Report.
