Doosan Bobcat, the global leader in compact equipment, has announced the appointment of Gary Hornbacher as the company’s new president for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Hornbacher assumed his new role on July 1 and will report to Doosan Bobcat CEO and Vice Chairman Scott Park.
He will be based in Dobris, Czech Republic, where the company has consolidated its manufacturing plant, R&D centre, training facility and EMEA headquarters into one 120,000 square meter campus.
Hornbacher served in various capacities during Doosan Bobcat’s 36-year tenure. He has extensive experience in sales and marketing, product management, strategy and total quality management.
Prior to EMEA, his most recent position was Vice President, Channel Development and Training for Doosan Bobcat North America.
Park welcomed Hornbach, saying, “His previous experience as senior commercial vice president for EMEA, combined with his diverse background at Bobcats, enables him to effectively drive our strategic vision and motto— We empower people to achieve more.”
He added that in this role, he will focus on a people-centered culture, creating a collaborative environment where people can thrive and leverage individual talents to achieve amazing things.
Expressing his delight at joining the dynamic Bobcats EMEA region, Hornbacher said, “I look forward to serving with our team again.
