During the remainder of the Eid al-Adha holiday, visitors to Yas Island and Saadiyat Island can enjoy free robo-taxi rides to Abu Dhabi’s two key leisure destinations.

The Integrated Transport Center Abu Dhabi (ITC Abu Dhabi) said in a tweet that the public “can take advantage of a completely free self-driving car service called Txai”.

“This service ensures a unique journey with high standards of security,” added ITC Abu Dhabi.

To enjoy a free robo-taxi ride, just download the Txai app on the Apple and Google Play stores. Then choose a date, time and location for your pickup.

“Robotaxis” first launched on Yas Island in December 2021, and more than 2,700 passengers have already experienced autonomous driving. According to Bayanat, the G42 company behind the Txai, more than 16,600 kilometers of autonomous driving have been completed during the trial phase.
