Le Méridien Dubai & Convention Center has appointed Wojtek Orlewicz as General Director of Rooms to oversee all aspects of guest accommodation, from reception to housekeeping and amenities.
Wojtek, former Director of Rooms at the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, will work closely with the hotel’s senior team to ensure guests receive exceptional service during their stay, while also being responsible for guiding and developing the team of 340 employees.
His six properties include Le Meridien Dubai and Convention Center, Le Meridien Waterway, Aloft Al Mina and Aloft Dubai Airport, Element Al Mina and Element Dubai Airport, totaling 1,247 guest room.
“The success of any hotel ultimately depends on their people,” Wojtek said. “I am honored to be part of the management team at Le Méridien Dubai & Convention Center and I look forward to guiding the team as they implement strategies to achieve our 2023 goals and ensure the hotel’s service culture is aligned with our brand values.”
Orlewicz rejoins Marriott International in early 2023, having previously worked there from 2004 to 2010. He started at Marriott Executive Apartments as Head of Guest Relations and Communications and in 2006 moved to JW Marriott Hotel Dubai as Guest Relations Manager.
Wojtek started his hospitality career in 2001 at the Hyatt Regency Warsaw, Poland before moving to the United Arab Emirates. He then embarked on an extensive career in hotel operations and management before moving to Abu Dhabi in 2017 as Executive Assistant Manager of Saadiyat Rotana Resort and Villas.
Wojtek holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Hospitality Management from WSEGiT in Warsaw, Poland and a Masters in Tourism Economics from WSE in Warsaw, Poland. He is also an active member of AICR (Amicale Internationale des Sous Directeurs et Chefs de Reception). – trade arab news agency
