On Wednesday, Shahani received a ventilator at Houston Methodist Hospital. After the holiday broke out, she was rushed to the hospital.

Shahani attended the concert with her cousin and her sister. Her cousin Mohit Bellani said they were separated from each other in an incredibly large crowd.

“Doctors, they say that the chance of survival is slim, and until now I haven’t even spoken to my wife. We have always said we will pray. I ask everyone in Houston to pray for her. Maybe the prayer may be a miracle for her,” “Her father Sonny Shahani said Wednesday.

Her cousin added: “I think she was hypoxic for 10 minutes at one time and 7 minutes at the other time. So her brainstem was almost 90% swollen.”

Bellani further explained the shocking scene when the crowd began to fall and trample on each other, “Once one person falls, people begin to fall like dominoes. It’s like a sinkhole.
