The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has just announced that a new tourism project called Nomad will be launched in this culturally rich city.
Nomad’s target audience is adventure lovers of all ages and families, who are looking for opportunities to get out of daily work. The first project of its kind in the region will allow guests to take a travel trailer across the coast, mountains and deserts of Sharjah.
The new project will meet the needs of those seeking short-term adventure or long-term accommodation, while providing the best services in Sharjah. Think along the route of diverse landscapes, coastal corners and natural attractions. Airstream travel trailers will take guests anywhere, from the rugged mountains of Khorfakkan to the vibrant desert of Mleiha or the pristine beaches of Hamriyah.
In addition, there will be many unique activities, routes and experiences in all seasons.

The trailers will be filled with environmentally friendly and modern comfort facilities, and the environmentally friendly features will ensure that they have the least impact on the environment. Shurooq added that it will not disturb or negatively affect the flora and fauna of the surrounding area.
Mr. Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, Executive Chairman of Shurooq, said: “The launch of Nomad marks the beginning of the first world-class outdoor activities in the region to inspire the spirit of adventure at any time of the year.”
He added, “The freedom provided by the nomads—holidays in magnificent mountain or dune environments throughout the year, and comfort in fully equipped, modern-designed trailers, will attract those looking for authentic experiences and drive tourism activities in the region to reach Higher level.
Al Sarkal also said that because Sharjah is an emirate with rich natural scenery, no matter what season, there will be new things to do and see.
