Dubai certainly has no shortage of high-end restaurants and beach clubs. But for some people, spending a whole day or night in a cozy English pub is exactly what the doctor requires. One such place in JBR is Copper Dog, before it closed Back to January 2020.
This may be a “goodbye” to Copper Dog, but now it is a “hello” to The Notorious, a casual Irish bar that invites you to leave a fuss at the door. With rough stone walls, scrubbed wood floors, and leather or plaid fabric seats, you might think that you have stumbled upon a cozy British bar.
You will find it at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Dubai. This is the ultimate place to relax, watch live sporting events, listen to live music or get your friends together for a quiz night. The happy hour is from Sunday to Thursday, from 12 noon to 8 pm, and the price of selected drinks is 35 dirhams. On Saturday and Sunday, you can get four drinks for two. Unlimited drinks are also available from 4pm to 7pm on Fridays, and the price is 149 dirhams.
The new venue is brought to you by people behind the scenes such as Phileas Fogg’s, Simon Rimmer’s The Scene, and Miyagi’s. The menu places great emphasis on pork dishes, so if you miss your fix, this is the place to go. There is also a barbecue dinner on Saturday and Sunday, with a drink of 120 dirhams.
