Mission Ferrari will feature the world’s first “lateral descent”…
Ferrari World Abu Dhabi sets the bar pretty high for its rides. Not literally, they don’t want people to fight.
But the bar for Metaphor, the bar for which it delivers creepy thrilling units, has been set pretty high. It already has the world’s fastest (240kph) roller coaster (Formula Rossa, pulling 4.8Gs) and tallest loop ride (Flying Aces) – so any potential newcomers must be able to compete with that dizzying high-awe energy match.

Welcome to Mission Ferrari, a “multi-sensory 5D roller coaster experience” open only to annual pass holders from 5th January 2023 and then to the rest of the world from 12th January 2023, Dubbed “the world’s first sideways roller coaster descent”. To clarify this applies specifically to roller coasters, so disregard the previous statement about passive-aggressive cats knocking coasters off tables.
We know that the ride will combine virtual and very real thrills to create an adrenaline-pumping experience “cutting-edge technology with stunning scenery, exhilarating reverse loops and state-of-the-art special effects.” Ride details are so thin on the ground we’ll have to wait until the new year to check it out for ourselves.
Speaking of the news, Deana Taylor, General Manager, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, commented: “We are very excited to unveil Mission Ferrari to the world. Combining immersive media rides and exhilarating roller coaster tracks, fans They will have a truly memorable experience that is unique in the region.”
“After 12 years, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi remains committed to enhancing the visitor experience by introducing new rides and attractions. We can’t wait for our guests to try them out and create unforgettable memories at our Ferrari-inspired park. “
