Aaron Carter was found dead in his bathtub, police confirmed.
The late singer, 34, was found in his bathtub by Los Angeles police on Saturday when they arrived at his home in Lancaster, California, The Sun reported on Sunday (06/11/22).
Law enforcement officials told The Sun that deputies received a call and found “a deceased person in the bathtub”.
It was later revealed that a woman who found Aaron’s body was housekeeping for the singer, and police received a 911 call before the “I Want Candy” singer was found dead.
A representative for the pop star confirmed his death in a statement Saturday, saying: “It is with great regret to confirm that Aaron Carter was found unresponsive at his Palmdale, California home this morning.
“Family has been notified and will be flying to Los Angeles. Aaron worked very hard in the final stages of his life to recover, be a good father and reconcile with his family.”
Homicide detectives were called to the scene of Aaron’s death but it is understood their presence was part of standard procedure and no signs of foul play were found.
Aaron’s fiancee Melanie Martin, 30, said she was grappling with his death.
After the father of her 11-month-old son Prince was found lifeless at home, she broke his silence, saying in a statement to TMZ: “My fiancé Aaron Carter has passed away. My heart goes out to me. Love Aaron, this will be a journey of raising a son without a father.
“Please respect my family’s privacy as we accept the loss of someone we love so much. We are still accepting this unfortunate reality. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.”
Melanie was pictured outside the home where Aaron was found, and she was seen crying, comforted by friends.
Minutes after news of his death broke, she also recorded her driving home and posted a two-second TikTok clip showing her sobbing hysterically in the car.
