Aaron Carter’s family ‘trying to heal rift after mom’s tweet’ | Entertainment

[ad_1]

Aaron Carter’s family is reportedly trying to heal a rift after his mom blamed the singer’s fiancée for his death.

In a series of now-deleted tweets on Nov. 28, Jan Schnecker accused his partner, Melanie Martin, 30, of nagging her late son for money and taking money from his Profit from death.

She started texting: “My baby boy died,” before adding: “I’ve been warning him for two years. He’s almost going home.”

Aaron began dating Melanie in 2020 and got engaged in June of that year before giving birth to their son Prince in November 2021.

They were separated when the 34-year-old singer was found dead in the bathtub of his California home in November, and his mother, Jane, reportedly never saw his son.

According to TMZ, Melanie had said that before Aaron’s death, she and Jane had a “pretty good relationship” and that her tweets were not against her.

She also reportedly said that an aide to Aaron’s twin sister, Angel, apologized for Jane’s messages and said they had been deleted.

According to reports, Aaron’s family will hold a private memorial service for the singer in 2023, when they will scatter his ashes.

Melanie said she had been invited to the ceremony and apparently still wants Jane to meet Aaron’s son Prince after Christmas.

TMZ also reports that Jane doesn’t want to start a war with Melanie, but wants the best for her grandson.

Previously, Aaron’s family was said to want his son to inherit his fortune.

The late singer’s mom, Jane, told TMZ that even though she has yet to meet her 12-month-old grandson, Prince, she wants him to be the beneficiary of his father’s assets because the family “doesn’t need the money.”

Jane added that she wanted to have a relationship with her grandson and Aaron’s on-and-off fiancée, Melanie, who currently has custody of the children.

After Aaron was found dead, his mom is said to have asked Aaron’s twin angels to file a petition to act as administrator of his estate, which is thought to be worth $500,000.

Melanie told Us Weekly last week about the financial arrangements: “I don’t want any problems or stress with Aaron’s estate.

“I just want Prince to be taken care of and that Aaron’s legacy lives on… Whoever wants to be in Prince’s life has access to Prince’s life.”

Aaron’s cause of death has not been determined pending toxicology results.

But the singer, who has battled drug addiction and mental health issues for years, was reportedly found with pills and canisters of compressed air near his body.

His Backstreet Boys singer brother Nick Carter, 42, who faces sexual assault allegations from four women, said it was “tough” to perform on stage the day after Aaron was found dead.
