The Ecuadorian artist will present her latest work in her studio: two exclusive collections that talk about restoring its true value to nature and spiritual freedom, conveying a strong and positive message despite the global reality information. As a means to this end, the artist stands out for his ancient Inca roots and the value nature holds for them as an essential part of life and God’s creation.
That’s why she decided to apply all this Inca knowledge and interest to her work, allowing her to perfect her abstract technique, layering layers of various natural materials that she finds in each of her regions. Her abstract works include leaves, flowers, sand, soil and shells. “I collect everything, and that’s the surface of my paintings. Each painting has a personal and unique imprint,” said the abstract artist, continuing, “Rugged landscapes, mountains, plants, they have different shapes, movements, this That’s why my art is not flat, because movement is life”.
Her three-dimensional forms speak for themselves, giving her work a sculptural approach. “My art has Inca roots and reflects their care for nature. This is who I am as an Ecuadorian: remembering to care for ecosystems and biodiversity; connecting with humans and their natural environment.”
Using elements found in the desert, sea and mountains of the UAE region, she not only seeks materiality for her work but also a real source of inspiration for his abstract compositions. “Nature speaks to us in its details, shapes and colours, and it is a source of connection with God who helps us find our true nature as human beings.”
Cordero warmly invites the public to visit her studio and share with her as she continues to create her new series of paintings.
