More than 3,000 motorcycle parking spaces have been added to Abu Dhabi to ease residents’ parking problems.

The Integrated Transportation Center emphasizes that developing motorcycle parking infrastructure is part of its strategy to facilitate mobility for community members, increase customer satisfaction, and maintain their comfort and convenience.

“These car parks also help reduce indiscriminate motorcycle parking and improve community safety, as 3,025 motorcycle-specific parking spaces have been built in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as of the end of last month,” the ITC said in a statement.

ITC officials also called on motorcyclists to follow the rules and instructions for using public car parks. They stressed that wrongly parked motorcycles will be punished by law.

The number of motorcycles in the capital has increased significantly in recent years, especially with delivery services, and riders are finding it difficult to find bike parking spaces, especially in the city centre.
