Abu Dhabi Airport, the owner and operator of five airports in the UAE, has signed a contract with Global Air Navigation Services (GANS) to provide air navigation services. As part of a long-term strategic partnership, GANS will provide services at five airports in Abu Dhabi Airport.
The scope of the contract includes end-to-end air navigation services, including approach and airport control services. GANS air traffic controllers and subject matter experts will be responsible for the safe take-off, landing and taxiing of the aircraft within the Abu Dhabi airport facilities.
Shareef Al Hashmi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Airport, said: “Abu Dhabi Airport is always seeking to cooperate with local companies that provide first-class and innovative services. All of our airports provide excellent air navigation services, providing excellent air navigation services to airlines and their passengers. Headquartered in the capital of the UAE, GANS provides customers with a series of air navigation services, including air traffic services, airport services, approach services, maintenance of communications, navigation and surveillance equipment, and all related air navigation functions, including training and consulting services. The company was established in 2008 and has been providing air navigation services since its establishment.
