Passenger traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) will increase during Eid al-Adha and the summer season, according to the latest passenger estimates released by Abu Dhabi Airports.
Authorities said on Monday that 2.8 million passengers are expected to use the AUH airport between July and August this year, with 414,000 of them specific to the Eid al-Adha travel season from July 7 to 15, 2022.
Francois Bourienne, Chief Commercial Officer, Abu Dhabi Airports said: “As the industry continues to recover and consumer confidence returns, we are delighted to be able to maintain this momentum. Passenger traffic during the upcoming peak season will ultimately have an impact on our traffic in 2022. The positive impact is that more than 13 million passengers are expected to pass through Abu Dhabi International Airport by the end of the year.”
Passengers departing from AUH are encouraged to benefit from online/remote check-in, bag drop points and other services offered by the airline to ensure a smooth airport experience and avoid potential delays.
PCR testing facilities at the airport are still available as an optional service for passengers wishing to activate their Green Pass on the Al Hosn app, which is mandatory for entry to public spaces, tourist attractions, business centres and other facilities in Dhabi, Abu Emirate.
