In terms of details, statistics show that since the law was enacted in January this year, foreigners and non-Muslims living in Abu Dhabi have filed a total of 95 no-fault civil divorce applications, an increase of 40% over the past. The estate of a foreigner residing in Abu Dhabi to give 50% of his deceased husband’s assets to his wife and to divide the remaining 50% equally among his children, regardless of gender.
