Abu Dhabi Maritime has announced that it will offer free ferry services between Dalma Island and Jebel Dana during the Dalma Jockey Festival, from Friday 28 April to Thursday 15 May.
Passengers traveling on the Dalma Island to Jebel Dana ferry will be able to travel on both ferries for free during the Dalma Race Festival.
The sixth edition of the Dalma Race Festival will see more than 3,000 sailors take part in the historic sloop race over 80 nautical miles (125 kilometers) over 18 days.
The race will start on Dalma Island and pass through eight other islands including Sir Bani Yas, Ghasha, Umm Al KurKum, Al Fatayer, Al Bazm, Al Fay, Marawah and Janana before reaching the finish line in Al Mirfa City.
Apart from the competitions, the event will also witness many traditional and aquatic activities such as fishing competitions, dominoes, carrom tournaments, cycling, running, fireworks, theatrical and cultural performances.
The Children’s Village and Theater will host daily competitions and souvenirs, as well as heritage and folk competitions, traditional crafts and other activities for all ages.
