Abu Dhabi announces free parking and Darb tolls for National Day

[ad_1]

Happy 51st Birthday UAE…

The public and private sectors will be closed on Remembrance Day and the UAE’s 51st National Day. The holiday will be from Thursday, December 1st to Sunday, December 4th.

In keeping with the established tradition of free parking on public holidays in Abu Dhabi, there will be no charges at the Mawaqif outdoor car park and the Darb toll booth during the festival.

Parking

The ITC has now confirmed that the disruption to parking fees in Mawaqif will begin on the morning of Remembrance Day on Thursday 1 December and will end at 7.59am on Monday 5 December – at which time the requirement to pay parking fees will resume.

Work

The suspension of the Darb toll, the toll normally collected from tollbooths on a number of the city’s bridges, will also be suspended from the morning of Thursday 1 December and ends on the morning of Monday 4 December 2021. Afterwards, the tollbooths located on the relevant bridges in Abu Dhabi will start charging again during the peak hours of 7am to 9am and 4pm to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.

Customer Happiness Center

It will not be available from Thursday 1 December until Monday 5 December 2021.

Public transit

Buses will run on the usual national holiday and weekend service schedule. We highly recommend using the Darbi app for up-to-date public transport schedule information.

Ferries will continue to operate on a standard timetable. You can find itc.gov.ae website.
