Abu Dhabi announces new capital entry procedures

The Abu Dhabi Media Office has just announced that Abu Dhabi has approved the new entry requirements for Abu Dhabi starting on Monday, July 19 (the first day of the Eid al-Adha public holiday).

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Commission stated that the new measures are part of the city’s “proactive efforts to prevent Covid-19 variants and ensure continuous testing”.

According to the new entry rules, starting Monday, July 19, entry into the UAE will be allowed within 48 hours after receiving a negative PCR test result and within 24 hours after receiving a negative DPI result.

Those who enter through the PCR test must retake the PCR test on the fourth day of entry, for those who stay for more than four days. For those who stay for eight days or longer, an additional PCR test must be performed on the eighth day.

The media office stated, “Those who enter the country through DPI must undergo a PCR test on those who stay for 48 hours or more on the third day of entry, and those who stay for 7 days or longer have an additional PCR test on the seventh.

It added, “DPI testing cannot be used to enter Abu Dhabi multiple times in a row.”

The press release finally pointed out that the procedure applies to all citizens and residents who are vaccinated and not vaccinated.

Those who fail the required tests will be fined.

The decision was made shortly after the emergency committee announced Capability update of the capital with National Disinfection Plan It will start on July 19, 2021.
