The new plan applies to pension fund members who receive end-of-service benefits before May 20, 2020
The authorities announced that members of the Abu Dhabi Pension Fund (ADPF) have been exempted from paying part of their current wages to purchase previous end-of-services. Instead, they can pay for these periods at the original value.
The Abu Dhabi Government Media Office stated on Sunday that the move is in accordance with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Committee Instructions.
This exemption-supporting ongoing efforts to provide high-quality retirement services for UAE nationals-applies to ADPF members who receive end-of-service benefits before May 20, 2020.
Members should submit purchase requests within the three-month grace period beginning on Sunday, October 17. It can then be paid in full or in installments within 60 months.
After the grace period has elapsed, the cost of purchasing the previous end of service will be calculated at 26% of the pensionable salary at the time of application.
