The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Agency announced the winners of the student award competition, which aims to obtain the best “awareness video clips” in fire protection and safety.
The top three winners of the competition received a total of AED 30,000 in cash prizes.
The video clip of Laila Ahmed Muhammad Bashir was among the best in the competition and received a bonus of AED 15,000. Muhammad Saeed Muhammad Al Yamahi finished second. He received 10,000 dirhams and Amal Muhammad Suleiman Al Hammadi, who finished third, received 5,000 dirhams.
The videos presented by the students highlighted the safety requirements of the family, as well as the causes of fires and various prevention methods.
The video also shows how to respond in the event of a fire, including how to use manual fire extinguishers and how to evacuate families.
The competition is in line with the authorities’ enthusiasm for creating safe and sustainable communities. It also aims to encourage students in middle schools, universities and colleges to produce content that can raise awareness of fire protection and promote safety.
