The programme aims to showcase the achievements of Emirati and Arab creative writers by nurturing and supporting the UAE publishing industry. This year, the programme is working with local publishers Dar Nabati, Hamaleel and the UAE Writers Union to publish 14 books by Emirati writers and poets, along with a series of engaging events including book signings, lectures and workshops.

The new edition of Riwaq Al Adab Wal Kitab 2022 includes the following 7 female authors, 5 male authors and a collaborative Arabic literature publication: Layla Mohammad Ali Al Farisi, Afnan Mohammad Al Hamady, Yousef Ali Al Adan, Hamda Hasan Al Hamadi, Jame ‘e Al Dhanani, Suroor Khalifa Al Kaabi, Fatima Nasir, Aysha Al Zaabi, Dr Maryam Al Hashemi, DrAysha Al Ghais, Asma Al Kalbani and Nasser Jubran.
This year, the programme will also celebrate the tenth anniversary of the death of the late Emirati poet Ahmad Rashid Thani, one of the foremost pioneers of Emirati prose poetry.
