Abu Dhabi Awards launches 11th edition

The 11th Abu Dhabi Awards was launched at a media launch at the Abu Dhabi Creative Centre, encouraging community members to nominate their unsung heroes who have benefited the UAE community.

The organizing committee also announced that the deadline for receiving nominations is October 10, 2022.

Held under the auspices of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, the Abu Dhabi Awards, the 11th edition of which is themed “Who Represents Your Kindness?” Abu Dhabi Awards people with values ​​including commitment, selflessness and inspiration.

Recognised as the UAE’s highest civilian honour, the Abu Dhabi Awards is a government initiative to honour unsung heroes who have selflessly dedicated their time to help others and have a positive impact on the country.

Over the next few weeks, as schools resume meetings, the organizing committee will host youth-oriented events to drive participation and encourage young public nominations. The committee has also released resources such as child nomination forms and virtual interviews to suit a broad audience. To reach a wider audience, the committee will also hold information sessions to raise awareness of the awards, and they will be accepting nominations from different groups of people in the UAE.

Amal Al Ameri, member of the Abu Dhabi Awards Organizing Committee, said: “Today is another important moment in our journey as we come together with groups from across the UAE to raise awareness of Abu Dhabi The recognition of the Zabi Awards, and more importantly, encourages and motivates community members to look around and nominate those who represent goodness to them.

“While we’ve been overwhelmed by the response so far, we know there’s more we can do to attract more nominations, which is why we’ve extended the nomination deadline to October 10. Various events for It is critical to educate the public about the Abu Dhabi Awards and attract nominations that not only demonstrate the inclusiveness and diversity of our country, but also allow us to reach a wider community, including children and expatriates.”

Since its inception, the Abu Dhabi Awards have received a quarter of the more than 1 million nominations from 135 countries. Previous winners have made valuable contributions in a wide range of fields including healthcare, education, the environment and the preservation of the heritage of the UAE and Abu Dhabi. – arab trade news agency
