Abu Dhabi, UAE: The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi (ADDED), the Khalifa Enterprise Development Fund and ebay hosted an event titled “Grow Your Business Globally with ebay” , to support entrepreneurs and SMEs in Abu Dhabi to develop and expand their e-commerce businesses.
The workshop aligns with the Chamber’s efforts to support the growth of the private sector, including SMEs and start-ups, by providing businesses with the necessary guidance and skills. To this end, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce plays a vital role in strengthening the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s local and foreign trade exchanges and driving economic growth.
The workshop discusses basic topics including sharing the unique advantages of ebay’s growth plan, providing personal support, training, custom business plans, and various financial advantages.
His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber, said: “Abu Dhabi Chamber ensures that it provides the necessary support and guidance to promote the growth of start-ups and SMEs and introduce them to different investment opportunities, which is very important in driving development. The private sector plays a key role in the development of the private sector. Partnering with ADDED, Khalifa Fund and ebay for this workshop reflects our efforts to develop a diversified economy in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by supporting the growth of the e-commerce industry, which supports our efforts in achieving sustainable economic development.”
Her Excellency Alia Abdulla Al Mazrouei, Chief Executive Officer of Khalifa Fund, said: “I am very pleased to further our collaboration with ebay, an existing partner in the e-Empower programme, and together we provide Abu Dhabi entrepreneurs with the ability to expand their global export capabilities.

His Excellency added: “I would like to thank the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry for making today’s collaborative event possible.”

The seminar covered topics related to ebay’s export and growth potential, ebay’s growth plans and its benefits to Abu Dhabi Chamber’s SME members.

Other program benefits include access to tools and solutions to global markets, which help expand participants’ businesses. The program also provides access to active users on eBay to support entrepreneurs and SMEs keen to expand their business to other global markets.
