The Ministry of Education and Knowledge of Abu Dhabi stated that all students 12 years and older must show a negative result.

The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) stated that all students 12 years and older must show a negative PCR test before they can enter private schools in the capital.

This week’s update of the PCR test requirements feature in the Parent Guide issued by ADEK to return to school.

“As we prepare to welcome the children back to school, please rest assured that their safety and the safety of all employees and the wider community remain the most important. Only when all of us, including educators and parents, work together and do our best It’s possible to return to school successfully when you have a part of your own strength.”

Adek emphasized that the PCR test requirements are similar to the admission criteria introduced last year.

“We are committed to the health and safety of the school community. Therefore, in order to detect any infections in time, all students, teachers and staff aged 12 years and older will be tested every two weeks. Students who are determined are not subject to this requirement. “

ADEK urges parents to keep in touch with the school to ensure that children take the PCR test on the designated date.

In addition, students 16 years and older must be fully vaccinated before returning to school. However, if they are exempt from vaccination, then children can enter the school premises.

The vaccination status must be verified on the Al Hosn app. In addition, the exemption should be verified on the app or through an official letter from Abu Dhabi Health Services (Seha) or a provider authorized by the Ministry of Health.

Students between the ages of 3 and 15 can go to school without vaccinations.

In the new school year, the school offers three different modes of reopening: full or partial back-to-school and distance learning.

“When deciding which learning mode you want your child to adopt in the next semester, you should consider the many advantages of face-to-face learning for your child’s academic progress and mental health. Similar to last year, you must make your choice throughout the semester so that your school Plan better.”

Students who land from abroad after the summer vacation must comply with the quarantine and testing requirements set by the Ministry of Health and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Agency.

Parents must also sign and submit a travel declaration form to their child’s school.

The school continues to maintain the strictest safety measures. To date, 89% of educators in all private schools have chosen to vaccinate themselves.

The safety measures to be followed include maintaining a body distance of one metre, wearing a mask, dividing students into different groups and a bubble system.

Open play areas, canteens, physical education classes and extracurricular activities will also resume.

If the parent is fully vaccinated and the PCR test result is negative, they can visit the school, which is valid for 96 hours.
