Abu Dhabi closes bridge connecting Al Maryah Island to Abu Dhabi Island

Abu Dhabi: One of the four bridges linking Abu Dhabi Island to Al Maryah Island will be closed to vehicles from tomorrow, the UAE’s public transport regulator has announced.

The Integrated Transport Center (ITC) of the Ministry of Municipalities and Transport said on its social media platforms that the bridges leading to Al Maryah Island from Zayed the First Street or Electra Street will be closed from Closed Wednesday, January 11th at midnight until 5am on January 11th. Wednesday, February 1. The bridge directly connects the Al Zahiyah area of ​​the capital with Al Maryah Island.

The ITC has urged motorists to take alternate routes during the closure. Motorists can still travel directly to Al Maryah Island from Abu Dhabi Island using three other bridges: the bridge to Hamdan bin Mohammed Street, the bridge to Al Reem Street or the bridge to Al Falah Street. Other bridges linking Al Maryah and Al Reem islands also remain open.

The ITC has urged motorists to drive carefully and obey traffic rules and regulations at all times.
