“[The DMT] The redevelopment of Al Bateen Ladies Beach has been launched to include modern amenities and amenities that will create a unique experience for users. As a result, the beach will be closed from July 4, 2022 until the second quarter of 2023, while construction is taking place,” DMT said in a statement on its social media platforms.

The statement added that the project is in line with DMT’s vision to increase recreational facilities and improve the quality of life in the emirate.

The redevelopment will cover more than 36,580 square meters of coastal space. When reopened, it will include restaurants, cafes, prayer rooms and convenience stores. Sports lovers can enjoy the 500-meter jogging track, gym, cricket and volleyball courts and swimming pool. Showers and changing rooms at the beach will also be refurbished.

“This project aims to develop the beach into one of the best destinations for ladies in Abu Dhabi city, offering more intimate leisure activities. It will include facilities to enhance the beach experience for all residents and visitors. We hope that Abu Dhabi’s Women are able to use the world-class facilities on the beach in complete privacy,” said Dr Salem Al Kaabi, Acting Director General of Operations at DMT.

An integral part of the redevelopment of Ms. Al Bateen Beach includes child-friendly park facilities that include slides, trampolines and swing ropes that meet the highest safety and quality standards.

“As our community grows, we will continue to develop exciting recreational opportunities to support Abu Dhabi’s exceptional quality of life for years to come,” added Dr Al Kaabi.
