[ad_1]

The rule does not apply to residents who have been exempted from the vaccine requirement.

From August 20th, only individuals with “Covid-19 vaccination” status and green status on the Alhosn app can enter public places in Abu Dhabi.

The rule does not apply to those who have received an exemption from the vaccine requirement.

After obtaining a negative PCR test result, a fully vaccinated person can get a green status on the app within 30 days. However, six months after taking the second dose of Covid vaccine, the “Covid-19 vaccinated” status on the app will be invalid.

Active status

In order to keep the vaccination status effective, fully vaccinated individuals must be boosted six months after the second vaccination.

This means that anyone who has received the second dose of vaccine in early February or before must receive a booster shot as soon as possible to keep the vaccination status active and get a green status negative PCR test result on the app.

A positive vaccination status and a negative PCR test result will help stay green on the app for 30 days and ensure access to public places in the emirate for one month.

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee approved these entry rules on Saturday, and citizens, residents, tourists and visitors of the emirate must abide by these entry rules.

“The procedures for entering public places also apply to tourists and tourists, who should abide by international travel agreements.”

Exempt residents

However, people who have been properly verified by the health authorities can be exempted from the responsibility for vaccination. If such exemptions are granted, they will be reflected in the application.

“Vaccinations who have a green status on the app can also enter the exemption. This status appears after a negative PCR test result and lasts for 7 days. Children under 16 years old will have their status shown as green on the Alhosn app. No testing is required, and entry will be allowed,” the committee said.

From Friday, August 20, public places restricted to fully vaccinated and exempt categories are shopping malls, restaurants, cafes and all other retail stores, including retail stores not in shopping malls, as well as gyms, recreational facilities and sports activities , Health clubs, resorts, museums, cultural centers and theme parks, universities, research institutes, public and private schools, and children’s nurseries in the emirate.

“Persons who have not been vaccinated and those whose status is grayed out on the app (reflecting that the PCR test has expired) are prohibited from entering these public places.”

In addition, individuals must be aware that the red status on their app means that they continue to be positive for Covid-19.

New residence permit

The committee also announced that those holding new residence permits have a 60-day grace period for vaccination.

In addition, the committee provides a 30-day grace period for those who fail to maintain vaccination status.

“According to the medical agreement for each vaccine, the booster must be taken six months after receiving the second dose. The committee stated that all people who took the second dose six months ago have a 30-day grace period, and then their The status will turn gray on September 20. Participants in the vaccine trial do not need to receive booster doses.

The committee emphasized the importance of taking preventive measures and choosing vaccination, which is the most effective method for sustainable recovery.

“The decision is part of the active measures taken by the UAE to curb the spread of the virus and its variants.”

On Saturday, 82.23% of the eligible population in the country received a single dose of the vaccine, and 72.87% of the population was fully vaccinated.
