The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) announced the relaxation of COVID-19 measures.
Now, following the latest developments, tourists no longer need to register their vaccination status with the Federal Identity and Citizenship Authority (ICA) prior to arrival, nor do they need a green pass status on the Al Hosn app to access shopping in Abu Dhabi Attractions and experiences in the form of centres, hotels, restaurants and theme parks.
In addition to this, wearing a face mask is also becoming optional as the country progresses towards lifting COVID-19 restrictions. Also, apart from visitors, residents are now no longer required to undergo monthly PCR tests to keep the Al Hosn app green. According to reports, the app will now be limited to proof of vaccinations and test results, both domestic and foreign, upon request.
If reports are anything to go by, the latest developments coincide with Abu Dhabi’s latest campaign, ‘Experience Abu Dhabi’, recently launched. Find Your Pace is another new campaign that highlights a variety of activities that inspire, inspire and rejuvenate, and invites people to come and explore the emirate at their own pace and at their own pace.
However, safety remains the top priority and anyone who tests positive for Covid-19 will be required to self-isolate for five days.
