Abu Dhabi cuts company establishment and license renewal fees to 1,000 dirhams-News

[ad_1]

Federal fees will continue to apply.

The cost of setting up businesses in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has dropped to 1,000 dirhams, a drop of more than 90%. The license renewal fee has also been reduced to 1,000 dirhams.

This is the result of cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and multiple government entities including the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The new fees will take effect on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Federal fees will continue to apply.

This move will significantly improve the convenience of doing business in the emirate and enhance Abu Dhabi’s regional and international competitiveness. The introduction of fixed fees will increase transparency and reduce the management of investors. It also supports the Abu Dhabi government’s efforts to create a more prosperous business environment for the private sector, especially small, medium and micro enterprises.

The new fees include the six activities in the business license, which will cover all the fees of Abu Dhabi government entities (such as ADDED, the Ministry of Municipal and Transport), membership fees of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, CoC (Certificate of Conformity) issuance fees and fees The requirements of the Zabi regulatory entity depend on the type of business. Some fees have been completely eliminated, while others have been greatly reduced.

“We hope this major change in the fee structure will help further simplify the process of setting up new and existing investors. As part of our new economic strategy, our goal in Abu Dhabi is to create a prosperous business environment that encourages growth and innovation. ADDED Chairman Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa said: “The convenience of starting a business and managing a business is a key lever, and we firmly believe that fee restructuring will help us achieve this goal. “
