Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development launches ‘Investor Tour’

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), in partnership with the Department of Government Support, represented by the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA), today announced the launch of a new Investor Tour as part of Abu Dhabi Government Services Ecosystem “TAMM”. The highly regarded journey is specifically designed to meet the needs of current and potential businesses, entrepreneurs and investors by reducing costs, providing seamless integration and an advanced service ecosystem to facilitate new business ideas and establishments.

Following Abu Dhabi’s 93% reduction in set-up and renewal fees to just AED 1,000 and the removal of 71% of business set-up requirements in 2021, the Investor’s Journey has brought a complete A digital experience that guides investors through a range of services with minimal physical touchpoints. Additionally, transaction and approval procedures for various government entities have been unified and embedded in this journey.

His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi, Chairman of ADDED, said: “The Investor Journey is another important milestone that demonstrates our clear commitment to investors. For the benefit of business owners, we are actively working with our partners in the public sector, especially the private sector. , which is a testament to Abu Dhabi’s determination to reduce direct and indirect costs while maintaining price compliance. We have partnered with Abu Dhabi’s government services ecosystem, TAMM, to establish key business enablers such as Abu Dhabi Resident Office, Abu Dhabi Completion of investment offices and investor journey programmes to strengthen and secure a key pillar of the economy – the private sector.”

His Excellency further explained: “Our commitment to controlling costs, reducing requirements and strengthening government processes will remain at the forefront of our agenda. ADDED has launched key projects, including Phase 2 of the Investor Journey, which will integrate more Services and business setup tools and capabilities. In addition, ADDED continues to work with local and federal entities to conduct a comprehensive review of direct and indirect costs, including regulatory and administrative burdens for the private sector.”

Discussing the importance of the Investor Journey in Abu Dhabi’s digital transformation, Ali Rashid Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Government Support Department, explained: “One of the key priorities of the Government Support Department is through advanced and innovative The solution facilitates and supports an integrated and proactive digital government. This will enable future governments to achieve government excellence by adopting innovation and leveraging the latest digital solutions, in line with the vision and aspirations of wise leadership.”

He added that in today’s competitive global business environment, innovation is the winning formula and the implementation of AI in key services will provide investors with simplified systems and processes. We believe that the Investor Journey will provide a safe and user-friendly experience, allowing all stakeholders to benefit from Abu Dhabi’s investment in leading technology. “

Among the many features empowering investors and business owners, Journey provides an informative “Simulator” that enables them to seek clarity and directions, a “License Finder” to help determine the appropriate legal form and license type, Then there is a simple application process for obtaining a trade name and license. Investors can then locate their business through the “Property Finder”’s interactive map, obtain Abu Dhabi Civil Defence’s digital contract, Certificate of Conformity (CoC) and facilitate bank account applications.
