Abu Dhabi to close one of its through trains Coronavirus disease Test center next week.
The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, better known as Seha, announced that the Al Shamkha Centre will be closed from Monday.
Testing levels across the country remain high – typically more than 200,000 a day – but have fallen from a peak of more than 500,000 in January.
The rule requiring motorists to have a green status on the Al Hosn app, which required a negative PCR test to remain active, was lifted at the end of February to enter Abu Dhabi.
Global travel restrictions have also been eased, meaning travelers to many destinations no longer have to show a negative pre-flight result.
But the green pass system to enter Abu Dhabi’s public spaces remains in place.
People can still get PCR tests and get vaccinated at existing drive-through centres in the capital, Seha said, a list of which is available on the authority’s website and app.
The Al Shamka branch is the latest drive-thru to close in recent months.
In March, Seha announced that mobile services at Dubai City Walk would cease to operate.
In January, Seha permanently closed its Covid-19 drive-through testing centre in Dubai’s Mina Rashid.

Demand for testing at the Seha Centre is particularly high, as PCR tests are available for as little as 40 dirhams (about $11).
